J-Music Exchange/Rate is a segment I do with my good friend/fellow Japanese music fan Leap250 where we both exchange albums each month and later review them on our respective blogs. We also base our album choices on a specific theme each month; with past examples being ‘first discoveries’, ‘unique vocal stylings’, ‘idols’, and ‘music player mainstays’.
This series began back in 2019 but after a long hiatus, it was revived in May of 2020. Since then, we’ve written reviews every month with the intent of introducing brand new albums to each other, as well as to readers.
